Pre-K Family Literacy Program
Haga clic aquí para el Programa de Alfabetización Familiar del Prekinder.The Pre-Kindergarten and Family Literacy Program (PKFLP) is designed to facilitate a child's transition to kindergarten, provide part-day age and developmentally appropriate activities the year before they are eligible to be enrolled in kindergarten. The program provides a literacy component to encourage parents to work on interactive literacy activities both in the classroom and at home with their children. The program also includes a parenting education component.
PKFLP and Bakersfield City School District is offering the following FREE classes:
- ESL Classes (English as a Second Language)
- Parenting Classes
- Parent and Child Interactive Literacy Activities
- Pre-Kindergarten for 4 year olds
Classes are held at the following locations:
*EBCRC (East Bakersfield Resource Center)
at the Boys and Girls Club *South Chester Partnership
801 Niles St. 800 Ming Ave. (Union and P. St.)
