Summer Migrant Student Education

MINI CORPS HORT:

Mini-Corps
Mini-Corps student at Hort Elementary School during 2007 Summer School.  One of eight Mini-Corps College Students that assisted 7 B.C.S.D. schools.  They worked in the migrant impacted classrooms as teacher assistants under the direct supervision of the classroom teachers and served as positive role models for migrant students from June 11 through July 12, 2007. 

Carlos Arambula SOL:

Summer Outreach for Literacy, (S.O.L.)
Teacher, Carlos Arambula, conducts a daily S.O.L. home-based study.  Thirty
S.O.L. teachers provided individual or small group instruction in English/Language Arts using English Now and 3D Learning strategies, from June 11 through July 12, 2007, with 287 students.

CSUB IWA:

Intensive Writing Academy at C.S.U.B.
One of three classrooms held at C.S.U.B., where 31 B.C.S.D. students attended the Intensive Writing Academy, from July 2 through July 27, 2007.  Students focused on writing while learning how to make a presentation on PowerPoint and presenting the information.
