Certificated Application Process
Applications for certificated positions are only accepted during a position's advertisement period, with the exception of classroom teacher.
Application forms may be printed from this website and then completed by typing or printing legibly all required information. Forms may not be altered or reformatted for a personal computer. Changes to or reformating of the application from will disqualify they applicant from consideration.
Interested applicants must submit a completed employment application and required documents for each certificated position. Applications and job descriptions may be requested by telephone at (661) 631-4876, by e-mail at Donezm@bcsd.k12.ca.us, or obtained in the office of Personnel Services. All documents must be received in Personnel Services by 4:00 p.m. on the deadline date. It is the applicant's responsibility to meet all application requirements and supply copies of all required documents. Applicants must submit all documents to:

Applications meeting the minimum requirements will be referred to appropriate selection committees. Applicants selected for interview will be contacted by telephone and invited to an interview. Employments are made by the Board of Education upon recommendation by the Superintendent.
Classroom teacher applications are accepted at any time during the school year. Our primary recruiting season begins in February for the ensuing school year. Applications may be requested by telephone at (661) 631-4859, via e-mail at personnel@bcsd.k12.ca.us, or obtained in the office of Personnel Services. Before being considered for a teaching position, applicants must submit the following:
- Completed application form
- Personal resume
- Copy of California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) verification (or passage of Mini-CBEST if out-of-state)
- Complete set of transcripts
- Copy of teaching certificate, if available
- Placement file (experienced teachers may submit two letter of recommendation in lieu of placement file)
- Out-of-state teachers will need to supply fingerprint clearance from state of residence
