Parents had the opportunity to hear Guest Speaker Armando Vazquez, KCSOS administrator for East Kern, visit the Instructional Materials Center Open House and attend workshops later in the evening.
Incredible Success at John's Incredible Pizza
Oh, what a night! Thursday, October 21, at John’s Incredible Pizza was an awesome success with more than 1,500 BCSD employees and family members in attendance during employee appreciation night. By 7:00 o’clock the entrance had a long line of folks waiting to get inside. John’s Incredible staff came to the rescue – they took trays of drinks, breadsticks and even small ice cream cones to appease the crowd. And incredible as it may seem, the crowd didn’t seem to mind the wait. Everyone was chatting and laughing with others in the BCSD family.

Summer Camp - A learning adventure!
"It's a great learning experience!" That's what Amber Thomas had to say about summer camp. "It gives kids something to do." Mrs. Thomas' daughter, Skylar, attended first-grade summer camp at College Heights School. But according to three fifth-grade students in Ms. Alvarado's summer camp classroom, it was more. The fifth-grade girls had bonded with each other, as well as with their teacher.
