The Bakersfield City School District Board of Trustees is now accepting applications for candidates to fill the vacancy left by departing board member, Ken Weir.  At a special meeting held January 9, 2007, the board approved the process whereby a candidate will be appointed and serve a provisional term of two years as provided in California Education Code section 5091.  For more information click here.
