Parent Involvement Core Beliefs
The Bakersfield City School District Title I Parent Involvement Program is aligned to NCLB Section 1118 parent involvement requirements and is founded on the research based model of Joyce Epstein's Six Types of Parent Involvement . Our programs focus on the six standards and include information on understanding the California State Standards, student assessments and student achievement, parenting classes, literacy and math workshops, positive communication, school climate, volunteerism, and developing parent leaders.
