SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL
California Education Code 64001 requires all schools that receive School Improvement Funds to maintain a School Site Council.  Their primary role is to guide the student achievement process to ensure that the needs of all students are specifically addressed in the Single Plan for Student Achievement. Other responsibilities are to develop a Single Plan for Student Acheivement for the Consolidated Application Programs operated at the school, annually recommend the proposed plan to the school board for approval, monitor the implementation of the plan, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan.

SCHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAC)
Each school receiving EIA/SCE (Economic Impact Aid/State Compensatory Education) funds must form a functioning School Advisory Committee. (EC 62002.5)  Parents shall constitute a majority of the committee and parents of students participating in the compensatory program (students achieving less than proficient on the California assessment tests), must elect the parent representatives.  The SAC provides advice to the Principal and the SSC on how to address the needs of these students in the Single Plan for Student Acheivement.
