Coach Wooster's Annual Snow & Skating Party
On Friday, August 8th, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Coach Wooster once again hosted his annual Snow & Skating Fun Day at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, across from the McMurtrey Aquatic Center. Over 60 special education students from the district were taken in chairs and wheelchairs out on the ice to experience the sensation of “flying” across the ice, something many have never done before. Volunteer ice skaters, including hockey players and firefighters were on hand to accompany the students gliding around the rink. Our very own Stacy Davis gave a wonderful figure skating demonstration for the students. And, as he does every year, Coach Wooster had plenty of snow on hand for snowball fights between students and staff alike.
