Partner with the community to provide resources that directly impact the lives of children through innovative educational programs.
Every dollar raised goes directly back to BCSD students. You can support the BCSD Educational Foundation by purchasing a book or attending the Teddy Bear Picnic.

Description of the Book:
From humble beginnings in the farm and oil fields up through the ranks of country music, Buck Owens realized his life’s goal of becoming a country music singer. Buck’s journey began with an uprooted family traveling to California and ended with him becoming the megawatt country music star. This marvelous picture book, designed for primary-school aged students, will entertain and inform not only children of all ages, but country music fans and believers in the American Dream as well.

BCSD Educational Foundation Projects
Community Partners in Education - September 29, 2006 is an annual event that opens the doors for businesses and community organizations to partner with a school for one year. This is a great opportunity for schools and businesses to partner to work together to a progressive goal.
Innovative Grant Opportunities - Provides funds up to $2,000 for innovative educational projects in the classroom.
Lunch with Ed- provides an opportunity to sit down and have lunch with BCSD students. This is a great opportunity to have lunch in the cafeteria with the students and share your job skills and profession in a casual environment. Children and adults have an opportunity to share, learn more about a profession, and meet new people. Plus it is fun for the adults, too.
Volunteer at a school site or be a mentor - Are you interested in volunteering or being a mentor at a school site? In a recent BCSD survey over 80% of the schools indicated that they needed volunteers. Your time can make a difference in a child's life. If you are interested, please contact Sarah Baron at 631-4648 or email at barons@bcsd.com.
