Registration

Schools are now open to enroll new students and to accept School of Choice Intradistrict Transfer Requests.

Children born on or before December 2, 2004, are eligible for kindergarten,

Children born on or before December 2, 2003, are eligible for first grade.

A birth certificate or a passport is required to verify the child's age. (A hospital certificate of live birth will not be accepted as verification.)

All first graders entering a California public school for the first time are required by state law to have a physical. The BCSD requires that students receive a physical prior to entering kindergarten.

Required Immunizations.

CONDITIONAL ADMISSION: Children lacking one or more of the required vaccine doses but not currently due for a dose may be admitted on condition that they receive the remaining doses when due according to the schedule. (Check with your child’s school for the immunization schedule.)
