Franklin Elementary Finalist for NCUST Award
San Diego State University’s National Center for Urban School Transformation has announced twenty finalists for the Excellence in Urban Education Award; and BCSD's Franklin Elementary is one of them. Selected from schools nationwide, all exemplify the rigorous and committed work that results in high quality urban education. The finalists will receive on-site visits in the coming weeks, resulting in the selection of ten winners.Representatives from the National Center for Urban School Transformation visited Franklin this past Monday, January 28th. A welcoming ceremony was hosted for the visiting team; where Mr. Lingo, District Superintendent, as well as the members of the School Board were present.
