BCSD > 22nd Annual Math Bowl

22nd Annual Math Bowl

mb5: This past March, like every March for the last 22 years, Chipman Junior High hosted the BCSD Math Bowl.

BCSD students had the opportunity to put their math skills to the test, competing individually and as teams in categories such as dynamic duo, fantastic flash, power relay, thinker, and traditional relay among others.

Bob Fulenwider , who founded the Math Bowl 22 years ago as a teacher at Chipman, says "This competition helps generate excitement for mathematics, something often missing for this subject".  This was also Mr. Fulenwider's last Math Bowl, as he will be retiring at the end of this school year.  Thank you Mr. Fulenwider for all the years you have invested in our school district.

And congratulations to all the winners and to Munsey Elementary and Owens Intermediate for winning the school competitions in their respective divisions.
