52nd Annual Honor Concert


honor-con-top: Over 600 district students were featured at this year's BCSD Junior High/Middle School Honor Concert and Honor Art Exhibition held at the Rabobank Convention Center.

The concert featured performances by the district's Festival Orchestra under the direction of Ed Hughes, the Honor Orchestra directed by Albert Jeung, Honor Band directed by Gayle Bentley, and the Honor Choir under the direction of Christopher Borges.

Before the concert got on its way, two BCSD teachers were recognized as Kern County Music Educator Award Winners.  Erin McGinnis won the 2008 Choral Educator Award; and Mark Howard, Band Director at Chipman, won the Band Educator Award.
