The California Association for Music Education, an affiliate of the National Association for Music Education,is part of a network of 90,000 teachers, students, and researchers nationwide. The purposes of the association is: to promote access to a sequential music education for all Pre-K through grade 12 students taught by fully qualified music educators; to support and improve existing music programs; to promote quality pre-service and in-service music teacher preparation programs; and, to create a greater awareness of the value of music education through partnerships with other associations and advocacy among state and local agencies.

The California Band Directors Association is a professional organization for school band instructors throughout the State from all levels of public, private, and collegiate educational institutions. One of our primary functions is the hosting of the California All-State Honor Bands. Once a year auditions are held and students are selected from all parts of this state to put together some of the finest high school and junior high honor bands in the nation. Conductors are chosen by our membership from around the world. We are very proud of the high caliber of musicianship that these groups have consistently exhibited for the last fifty years.

The California Art Education Association, an affiliate of the National Art Education Association, is part of a network of 17,000 teachers nationwide from every level of art educators.  The California Art Education Association (CAEA) is dedicated to the advancement of art education at all levels through advocacy, professional development, curricular models and standards, teacher resources, programs, and recognition of achievements.

The California Dance Educators Association in partnership with the National Dance Education Organization and the National Dance Association strives to establish Dance as an integral part of all school curricula for grades K-post secondary; To work to obtain a credential for dance educators to insure high standards in the presentation of dance as a distinct discipline;to implement the "Visual and Performing Arts Framework" for California public schools; To aid in the development of qualified future dance artists and dance educators and to encourage students to develop as members of an educated dance audience.

The California Educational Theatre Association supports the education  of all students in theatre.  Like CMEA, CDEA, and CAEA, the California Education Theatre Association strives to provide an arts based education to all students in California in the theatre discipline.
