The California Healthy Kids Survey is administered every other year to students in grades 5 and 7.  It is sponsored by the California Department of Education and gathers information on behaviors of our youth on subjects such as:  physical activity, nutritional habits, alcohol, tobacco and drug use, school safety, and developmental assets.  It is completely anonymous and will take place in your child’s classroom.

This survey helps BCSD monitor student behaviors and attitudes regarding health and assists us in the maintenance of our health programs.

Fifth-grade students must obtain written parent permission, while parents of students in 7th grade must complete an opt-out form if they do not wish for their child to participate in the survey.
