BCSD Honors Four New Hall of Fame Inductees

June 13, 2019 - The Bakersfield City School District inducted four new members into its Hall of Fame earlier this month with a ceremony at the Bakersfield Country Club.  The event celebrated the inductees’ individual accomplishments as well as their contributions to the local community and BCSD.  The evening also included a gourmet dinner, photo opportunities, and live music from the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra quartet.

The 2019 inductees are:

  • Deborah Bradford, MSN, RN, PHN, CCHP California Correctional Institute
  • Jean Fuller, Former California State Senator and Assemblymember, BCSD Superintendent 1999-2006
  • Barbara Grimm Marshall, CEO & Founder of the Grimm Family Educational Foundation, Co-Owner of Grimmway Enterprise
  • Rachel Hollis, Best Selling Author, TV and Podcast Personality, Motivational Speaker

Each inductee received a beautiful commemorative award, an Official Resolution Document from a Government Official, a certificate of recognition from Senator Kevin McCarthy’s office, and custom designed placard with the inductees’ photo and bio.

Since its inception in 2010, the Hall of Fame has recognized former students who are noted for their professional accomplishments and community members who have distinguished themselves by their service to BCSD. All BCSD Hall of Fame recipients are permanently honored through the BCSD Hall of Fame display, located in the Board Room Lobby at the Education Center, 1300 Baker Street.
