BCSD Student Leaders Encourage Others to be Safe

Bakersfield City School District students are doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.  Student body leaders at Cato, Chipman, Stiern, and Sierra released public service announcements encouraging their schools and communities to practice good health and safety as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Students shared why it’s important to follow health guidelines during the pandemic.  Here are some of their reasons:

“You get to see your friends not through your computer screen,” said one Cato Middle School student.

“I wear a mask so the virus will stop spreading and everything will go back to normal soon,” said a student from Stiern Middle School.

“If we all start wearing a mask then sooner or later the coronavirus is going to stop or slow down and we are not going to have to wear a mask anymore,” added another student at Chipman Junior High.

“Help us get back to (campus) where we belong,” continued another Cato Middle School student.
