BCSD Announces 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees

March 23, 2018 – The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) Board of Education is proud to announce the outstanding individuals who have been selected as the 2018 inductees into BCSD Hall of Fame. Recipients of this honor consist of former students who are notable for their professional accomplishments and community members who have distinguished themselves by their service to the District. Inductees are permanently honored through the BCSD Hall of Fame display, located in the Board Room Lobby at the Education Center, 1300 Baker Street.

The 2018 inductees are:

  • Adam Alvidrez, Chevron Corporation, for his work with the Project Lead the Way.
  • Chief Lyle Martin, former BCSD student and now Chief of the Bakersfield City Police Department.
  • Bill McDougle, former BCSD Student, Retired BCSD Administrator and former BCSD Board Member.
  • Daniel Sheehy, former BCSD Student, now Director & Curator Emeritus, Smithsonian Folkways Recordings and Former Director, Smithsonian Center for Folk life and Cultural Heritage.
  • Colonel Michele Spencer, former BCSD Student, and now a Colonel in the United States Army.
