June 14, 2018 – Hundreds of students at Owens Primary and William Penn Elementary got a special treat courtesy of Campbell's and local Bakersfield produce company, Bolthouse Farms. Each student left school that day with a drawstring grocery bag full of non-perishable food items to take home.
The items were all donated by Bolthouse Farms and several representatives from the company were there to hand the bags to the children. Brian Grant, VP of Operations at Bolthouse, said, “We want to give back to the community and it is important for us to get food to the children while promoting a healthy lifestyle.” He added that this is the third year the company donates items to students and so far they have given over 1,000 bags to the community.
Thank you Campbell's and Bolthouse Farms for investing your time and resources to enrich our students lives.
