BCSD Student Leaders Share Opinions with District Adminsitration

March 21, 2018 – Every year District officials meet with the presidents of the Student Councils of each school to engage in an honest dialog. The purpose is to understand the student’s vision and get their opinions on how improve the quality of our schools and the teaching and learning process across our District. “Student feedback is critical. They have a special perspective and are the most important group in BCSD,” said Mr. Mark Luque, Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services. “We encourage them to be honest and there are no hurt feelings about what they say.”

Sierra Students Participate in “Hippocrates Circle” Program

March 14, 2018 – Thirty BCSD students from Sierra Middle School participated in Kaiser Permanente’s annual “Hippocrates Circle Program” (HCP). During the five-week training program, each student had the opportunity to visit medical centers, interact with various medical professionals and learn more about careers in the medical field.
