Rev. Ralph Anthony was elected to the Bakersfield City School District Board of Education on April 2018. He represents Trustee Area #3. He previously served on the Board of Trustees from 1992-1994.

Rev. Anthony brings 48 years of progressive experience in the areas of public and private policy, and 40 plus years in child care preparing children and families for school. He has served as Assistant Pastor at Saint Peter Restoration Community Christian Ministries since 1980. Rev. Anthony has been the Director of several non-profit organization efforts including the Anti-Tobacco Campaign with Ebony Counseling Center and Restoration Community Projects, Inc. He spent some time as Executive Director of A Philip Randolph Community Development, Corp., and of the Friendship House Community Center. He has owned his own business and was the proud Owner and Operator of Ralph Anthony and Associates from 1991 to 2002.

Rev. Anthony is a member of several educational and mentoring organizations for youth such as Reach 4 Greatness and the Comprehensive African American Academic Achievement Program. His efforts and community service have been recognized through many awards, including the African American Network “Community Service Award,” the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Community Breakfast “Lifetime Achievement Award,” and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People “Outstanding Community Service Award.” Rev. Anthony studied Anthropology at Northern Michigan University and California State University, Bakersfield. He earned his Diploma in Christian Ministries from WHW Ministries.
