Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Enrollment

Transitional kindergarten is the first year of a two-year kindergarten experience.  Transitional kindergarten is designed for students who turn 5 years old during September 2nd-December 2nd.  Transitional kindergarten provides opportunities for social-emotional and language development as well as basic mathematics and literacy concepts.  After year one, transitional kindergartners progress into a traditional kindergarten classroom for year two.  Kindergarten is open to all children who turn 5 years old by Sept. 1st.

(Certified copy of birth record, statement by the local registrar or county recorder certifying the date of birth, baptism certificate, passport, or an affidavit of birth)
 
Proof of Residency
(Property tax payment receipts, rental property contract, lease or payment receipts, utility service contract, statements, or payment receipts, pay stubs, voter registration, correspondence from a government agency, or address verification affidavit)
 
Immunization Records
 
Evidence of Physical Check-up or Appointment Card
(Must Include TB Clearance)
 
Evidence of Dental Check-up or Appointment Card
Kindergarten

Registration for TK and kindergarten takes place at your home school.  Families should contact their home school for more information.  If your child is currently receiving special services, contact the Special Education department at (661) 631-5863.
