Compton Jr. High is dedicated to our students and our community. We strive to ensure that ALL students get the support they need, both academically and emotionally. Compton Jr. High first opened in 1960.  The school is named after John L. Compton, who served as the BCSD superintendent from 1940-1963. The staff at Compton Junior High work hard every day to provide each student with a comfortable and safe learning environment where students have every opportunity to achieve and succeed.
