Vision and Mission
Vision: The vision at Ramon Garza Elementary is to prepare and motivate our students for a rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global perspective, and a respect for core values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion. Students will transfer their learning to flourish in a competitive workforce to have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.
Mission: Ramon Garza’s mission is to ensure a safe and culturally responsive environment in which all students receive an effective, accessible, and comprehensive curriculum where research-based strategies and data-driven decisions are implemented. All families, staff, and community partners are welcomed and committed participants in nurturing the learning process.
Ramon Garza School opened its doors in 1990. Since then, the principal, administrators, and staff have worked extremely hard to provide each student with an optimal learning environment. Currently, the school serves students from Pre-K to 5th grade. The school was named after Ramon Garza, a longtime Bakersfield resident who worked as Program Director at KWAC Radio and was renowned for his commitment to helping those in his local Community.
