At Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary we are life-ready innovators reimagining the world!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary is the 44th school established in the Bakersfield City School District. Also referred to as MLK or King, the school opened its doors to students in 2020-2021.  The campus offers a unique STEAM-focused learning experience for children in the neighboring community.  A beacon in the community, it is our hope the school will support the academic and social-emotional needs of students for years to come through innovative and equitable learning methods.
