New Student Enrollment

The Bakersfield City School District welcomes new students and families throughout the school year. Enrollment is available for students residing within district boundaries and can be completed online through the district's enrollment portal, followed by in-person verification at the student's assigned school or district office.
During the enrollment process, families will be asked to provide information such as proof of residency, the student's birth certificate or proof of age, immunization records, and any applicable custody or legal documentation.
Once enrollment is submitted and verified, school staff will assist families with completing the registration process and preparing students for a successful start. Families seeking additional information about school attendance boundaries, transfers, or enrollment requirements are encouraged to visit the district's enrollment webpage or contact their neighborhood school for assistance.
