Student Records Requests
The Bakersfield City School District maintains student records in accordance with state and federal laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Parents and legal guardians may request access to or copies of student educational records through the BCSD Student Services Department.
Requests should include the student's full name, date of birth, school attended, and the specific records being requested. Valid identification is required to verify authorization before records are released. Requests are processed within 5 to 7 days, and records may be transferred directly to another educational institution upon request.
