The vision at Ramon Garza Elementary is to prepare and motivate our students for a rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global perspective, and a respect for core values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion. Ramon Garza School opened its doors in 1990. Since then, the principal, administrators, and staff have worked extremely hard to provide students in grades Pre-K to 5th-grade with an optimal learning environment. The school was named after Ramon Garza, a longtime Bakersfield resident who worked as Program Director at KWAC Radio and was renowned for his commitment to helping those in his local community.
