At Harris Elementary, we believe every student can be successful in and outside of the classroom. Harris staff is deeply committed to helping support students academically and socially-emotionally to ensure they are successful in all of their life endeavors. Harris Elementary has been providing educational services since 1960. It is named after Caroline Payne Harris, a dedicated educator, who served as teacher and principal in the Bakersfield City School District for many years. Harris school strives to maintain high-level, educational practices, and to ensure each student receives the attention and instruction they need to succeed in academics and life.
