Munsey is a Pre-K through 6th-grade elementary school striving to provide all students with programs of excellence to instill a passion for lifelong learning.  We work to prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow, helping students to overcome the challenges they may encounter through our learning lab, after-school tutoring, intervention specialists, and daily intervention blocks. Munsey first began providing educational services in 1954.  The school is named after Millie Gardett Munsey, a dedicated educator who taught in several schools in the Bakersfield area from 1895-1945.  Munsey Elementary strives to follow her example each day through modern, relevant instruction delivered by knowledgeable and caring teachers and staff.
