This year’s theme is “May the light shine on your future with BCSD.” The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harris Elementary, located at 4110 Garnsey Lane. Applicants will meet with district staff and will be asked a series of questions as part of the interview process.
Our district is always in need of single-subject teachers, particularly in the math and sciences. We’re also recruiting special education and Transitional Kindergarten teachers. We’re always looking for the best for our students and we encourage those with a passion for teaching to apply.
Two letters of recommendation
California teaching credential
Transcripts showing a bachelor’s degree
Proof of meeting the Basic Skills requirement (you could be eligible based on coursework) or passage of the CBEST test.
Those working toward a credential are also encouraged to apply because there may be opportunities as teacher permits have become available to enable employing agencies to fill staffing needs.
Those interested can apply by clicking the “Career Opportunities” tab at BCSD.com and apply for the positions titled “Teacher Job Fair.” BCSD provides professional development opportunities, including support through the New Teacher Development department and mentorships from veteran teachers.
