Curran Middle School hosts inaugural Legacy of Leaders Assembly in honor of Black History Month
February 25, 2020 - Curran Middle School held the inaugural Legacy of Leaders Assembly in honor of Black History Month. DeAnna Lewis, a local business owner, Rob Lee Davis, Fire Chief of the Langston, Oklahoma Fire Department, and Chei Brown, Vice President of Valley Strong Credit Union was honored as Legacy Leaders. Their names and photos will be displayed at Curran to inspire current and future students. Each award recipient spoke to the students about being a Crusader and encouraged students to work hard and reach for the stars. The common theme from each honoree is, “you can be whatever you want to be if you work hard.” Thank you to everyone who helped put this event together, and to the former Crusaders who took time to be honored and to speak to our students!
